Gameplay materials ie updated manuals – are currently being finalised. They will generally get uploaded to the Downloads menu above once they are correct. New manuals will be available for startup, one for clans, one for cities, and one for seniors to make it all more digestable in stages.

GMs will be able to confirm official start date (we are still in playtest) but I heard about a month or so…. so not far off!

I STRONGLY recommend you join the Discord site, most of the chatter is happening via that portal. The link is in one of the threads here. Quite a few changes from the 80s version so need to get your head around the new mechanics for kingdoms, factions and sub factions! Some new and some familiar.

We have a mix of Aussies, Americans and Brits already on the Discord forum. Give a shout out and most of us will be happy to answer questions.

Is it possible for someone (a Mod) who has all the registered members on this site (when the time is right) to push out an email update to all. I note there are a bunch we haven’t seen over on discord….

The game is a redo of a popular previous incarnation and is currently in playtest.

Click on “Downloads” at the top menu for the current manual.

Thanks Dreamweaver, just going on what is current rule book. Will play or not play based on game and factions that end up finalised etc also like imperials if banner gets messed up/deleted

In the aussie version I distinctly remember priest and preach skills. Priest was for each of the religions specifically and gave x% bonus. Havent seen mention of priest skill so just bringing it up.

Also having trainers for skills with some random levels not nevessarily linked to # offices may make the odd random backwater/fringe city tactically more appealing to own, even if it is small and not well debeloped, to develop in future

Question:
Will religions factionally work differently in this version? Ie do you now propose to be able to belong to a faction and then declare for one of the religions. Something like declare Roder, then join Banner as your faith??

Just trying to figure out how this would work in play… so could you be a senior for both theoretically?

Not off on the thoughts in one of the other threads but wondering how it will play put.

I did kind of like how they worked as separate in old version- only one master and goals and all that

Hi All
Ram here from Australia. I played in the Australian Barons Australian midgard 25+ish years ago.
I was top orthodox banner and ran the city of knightbridge before the game folded.
