phone-based orders can also be a problem as inmates must:
    1. pay for the call and it is a profit maker for the phone company
    2. have access to a phone in a timely manner
    3. there is a time limit in many jails per call. don’t know about prisons.

Many of the listed skills seem to be very in game useful, and worth perusing. I have not the creative instinct to see what use some, like gutting or herding foe example, would provide a leader or city.

I think that this is a truly exemplary idea! I know that jails are only accessible by snail mail, not sure about prisons, but assume that the ability to use email is severely limited.
Knowing the time and effort that inmates put into little things is tremendous and focused is a resource to be used. How can we do this?

I think that option A is the best course. Once I learn a process, my brain breaks if I have to reprogram it.
Hmmm. Guild Masters may eventually unite the members and strike for benefits or pay.

I hear a great movement of merchants striving to increase personal wealth, perhaps edging to exploitation of the weaker classes. In the pursuit of wealth and the massing of wealth there will eventually come a sense of guilt over stepping on others to succeed. This should eventually give rise to the attempts of redemption of the elites by building schools, museums, hospitals and temples.

Help! My Seeker clan on Midgard is being constantly ambushed by another, fanatical and persistent religion! I am only looking to find knowledge of the Old Gods, nothing more. Will I be able to seek a Cymru clan for assistance? How will that process occur.

Thanks for the great amount of thought put into these posts. I do have a small bit to add. History has demonstrated again and again that when religion is ascending medical knowledge stops expanding. So to have a religion be healers and engineers – both suppressed by fundamental religious teachings – seems to me to be divisive. Should make for a bipolar and interesting faction.

Coming back to a game after soooo many years, moves, retirements and so on seems strange to me. I have lost all my files over the years so will be happy with anything that can be dredged up.
I do think that the proposal starting set up seems very very generous. My enjoyment is in building clans, a running start would be nice. I understand that many returnees will have spent much more time, thought and psychic energy into older clans, so they would be happy with the generous start.
Will, of course, need to print the rule book as a refresher.
